Introducing The De Bethune DB28 XP Kind of Blue

De Bethune DB28 XP Kind of Blue

In the exciting world of fancy watches, De Bethune has just dropped something really special – the DB28XP Kind of Blue. This limited edition timepiece is a mix of the classic DB28XP style and the cool vibes of the DB28 Kind of Blue. Only 25 of these watches exist, making each one a rare gem.

Design Prowess: A Symphony in Blue

The face of the DB28XP Kind of Blue is a real eye-catcher. It has a blue titanium ring for the hours, with shiny gold hour markers. The minutes’ ring is also blue but with a satin-brushed finish. The bridge and guards on the dial are polished blue titanium, showing off some sleek lines.

The base of the dial has this special “Microlight” design that De Bethune came up with back in 2007. The hands on the watch are made of polished rose gold, adding a touch of class.

Innovative Construction: Form Meets Function

The watch case is made of tough Grade 5 titanium, polished to look extra cool. It’s not bulky either, with a diameter of 43mm and a slim 8.5mm thickness. The floating lugs, a clever feature patented by De Bethune in 2006, add a unique touch to how the watch attaches.

The crystal on top is super strong sapphire, treated to resist reflections. And hey, the crown is up at 12 o’clock, making the watch look neat and symmetrical.

Precision in Motion: The DB2115V12 Calibre

The DB28XP Kind of Blue is not just about looks – it’s got serious tech inside. The mechanical movement, called DB2115V12 calibre, is hand-wound, meaning you need to wind it up. It’s like a tiny machine with 247 parts, all carefully put together.

De Bethune has some cool patents in there, like the twin barrel that regulates itself (2004), a balance wheel made of titanium with gold bits (2016), and a special balance spring they came up with in 2006. They even threw in a silicon escape wheel and a shock-absorbing system from 2005 to make sure the watch keeps ticking accurately.
