Jacob Arabo – Jacob & Co Billionaire Timeless Treasure

Jacob & Co’s founder, Jacob Arabo, is proudly sporting the latest addition to their collection, the Billionaire Timeless Treasure watch, which is considered to be one of the most luxurious watches ever created. 

This masterpiece boasts a total of 425 asscher-cut fancy yellow diamonds that cover the entire watch. It’s important to note that it takes finding 10,000 white diamonds to find just one yellow diamond. 

This timepiece required 880 carats of rough yellow diamonds to be sourced, which were then meticulously cut to achieve the final product of 216.89 carats in the challenging Asscher cut. The entire process of sourcing and cutting these diamonds took 3.5 years to complete and is a testament to the dedication and expertise of the team behind Jacob & Co.

In 2015, Jacob & Co introduced the first-ever Billionaire timepiece, which was one-of-a-kind and unlike anything seen before. The creation of this bespoke project involved an extensive process of sourcing, sorting, cutting, and preparing 239 emerald-cut white diamonds, which took several years to complete. With its filigree, skeleton tourbillon movement, the Billionaire became a symbol of luxury and exclusivity, commanding a price tag of USD 18 million.

The immense international attention garnered by the Billionaire prompted Jacob & Co to launch an entire collection based on this stratospheric concept. The collection includes Billionaire II, which features 424 diamonds weighing 161 ct, and a tourbillon movement set with 57 baguette-cut diamonds. The 18-piece limited series, Billionaire III, took the concept even further, showcasing 714 white baguette-cut diamonds.

The collection continued to evolve with Billionaire III Diamonds and Rubies, featuring a flange, movement, and crown adorned with a total of 134 rubies. The brand also explored the possibilities of the prestigious Ashoka-cut, releasing the unique Billionaire Ashoka timepiece. This was followed by Billionaire Ashoka Smaller, a limited edition of 18 pieces, which featured 480 Ashoka-cut diamonds weighing 100 ct.
